Farmhouse shabby chic coffee table

We love this coffee table because it matches our large farmhouse shabby chic dining table. But sadly,we can't keep it, so it's on eBay at the moment.

This is our long dining table, which we are currently using as a desk in the office as it doesn't fit in the dining area.
But it makes an awesome desk and I will never part with this table as we made it ourselves.

In the process of our dining table being  made.

I love the legs. I would paint the base white and leave the top.

Brady Bunch style coffee table

This table reminds me of something that could be in the Brady Bunch. It's very retro! For sale on eBay at the moment. I wish I had a big enough house to keep all these treasures. Actually a few house's, so I could have all different styles, shabby chic, retro, industrial, the list goes on.

Divine vintage metal floral table display

Another item I am sadly parting with. How gorgeous would this look as a table centerpiece at a retro vintage wedding? It would also make the floral display easy on the budget as it works so beautifully with just cut flowers from the garden. Imagine it full of Jasmine and Roses.

Cheap and cheerful Laundry Make-Over!

BEFORE - The laundry sink and splashback would have to be at least 50 years old

This was our laundry midway into it's quick, easy and free make-over. It had layers of paint peeling off, with the floral print contact stuck over the top of everything including screws. I was contemplating what to do with it, peeling off the corners  revealed the gorgeous green original old melamine/laminex type paneling behind it all.

So I scraped it all off, then used paint stripper to the rest of the sticky paint off.

BEFORE

I just used my existing items to decorate. To create extra storage I used IKEA shelves that used to store our CD's. I used the yellow metal sign as a colourful splash back. The sign used to hang in Toby's old bedroom as wall art.

AFTER

Vintage Yellow Canary Perfume - Nan's

The green, yellow and white all look really bright and fresh, which is nice for a laundry.

ebay lovies won!

Some of the ebay items have ended and a lady with lovely taste has bid and won 3 of my pretty items. Including the vase and stool, which are even more gorgeous in real life.
I have loved and used this vase for many years, but am needing to lighten the load a bit with future moves in mind.

The entry table

The new house does not have an entryway as such, you just open the front door and walk into the lounge. I still found a spot for my favorite piece of furniture. I still change the display often to keep it looking fresh. These are daisy's from my garden.

My little garden fairy...

Luckily we have water tank at our new house. We had installed 2 at our last house, so we can water the garden without guilt or worry about the water bill. It has been so dry lately and I really enjoy standing out there watering the flowers. Problem is, I only get to do it for about 4 seconds before one of the kids pull the hose of me with cries of "I want a go".
But anyway at least they have fun watering the garden too.
