Thats so Old School

We are trying to clear the contents of our shed and so I have started listing a few things on eBay. This is my favorite listing at the moment: Old School Chairs. They are the wood look laminate back and seat with metal legs. Soon I will also sell older ones which are the same shape but ply wood instead of laminate. For just 1 of these chairs at the Wolloongabba Antique Centre, they were selling them for $45each, so hopefully my starting bid at $5 will go well.

Coconut and Pineapple Cake & more Tiny goodies!

I made the coconut and pineapple cake, it's coated in pineapple butter cream and coconut.

I wanted the cake to look a bit "not too perfect". My older sister made the tulle skirt for the baby doll on the cake.

These are my "cute as a button" strawberry cupcakes made out strawberry puree.

I made the yellow buttons out of fondant icing

My beautiful Mum made the little lamingtons.

I decided to have a menu board instead of individual food labels. My younger sister, who is a graphic designs did up all the printed material. She designed, printed and framed the menu's, I thought they looked fab. Thanks to my Dad for taking all these gorgeous photos.  More photos to come, bye for now, Lou x

More Tiny Party photos for you Lisa!

For the Tiny Tarts, we had Lemon Meringue, Caramel and Custard. I bought pre-made tart shells from a local deli as that saved a heap of time and looked better than what I could ever make. I made the Lemon Meringue and Mum kindly made the custard and caramel. She did a few tests to get them just right.

Do not fret, more photos to come!!

Little Miss Evie's Tiny Party, cute choclate crackles

Cute chocolate crackles.

For chocolate crackles, I always use the recipe on the copha packet, except I halve the amount of copha used and it still holds together perfectly!( without the gross cohpa waxiness) I am onto a good thing with the cocoa that I always use as well. Its Woolworths home brand 100% cocoa powder, it is the richest, darkest colour and makes chocolate things so much more chocolaty. It is found with the drinking chocolates like Milo rather than the cooking section. All the crackles got eaten up quick smart!

Tiny Party Prep

The little lolly shop being set up on our very useful front table.

Our little girl had her "tiny" party on the weekend and I would say it all went very well. More photos of the actaul party to come, but here are some of the photos of all the preparation. Thanks to my sisters and parents for being so wonderful with all their help. This will be a party we will remember forever.

As usual for any of my party's, we visited the local flower markets, more just for the fun of looking. We purchased just 2 bunches of miniature pale pink roses. As seen  on my sister blog, who helped me with all the styling: pale pink roses for the party

A test run of the "Tiny Treats" table.

I wanted to see how it would all work and that I had enough plates and stands, which I borrowed extras from my Mum and sister instead of buying more.

The uncooked Lemon Merigue Pies, ready for the oven. Seeming that they where so small, I made them extra lemony with lots of zest added. They where a hit, may I add!

The tiny Trifle, ready to be topped with cream in the morning. I made raspberry jelly and added a lot of fresh strawberry puree to it. The sponge was also home made strawberry  cake to make the trifle really yummy.

The party was such fun to plan and do! ( but a lot of work too)
