Island Spice

I was given this "Island Spice" candle for my Birthday, which I have been burning and I am loving the smell so much. The gardenia is from Mum and Dads garden, which also smells divine!

Christmas Colour,

I felt like a bit of a bright and cheery colour scheme this year. So I went for Yellow, Pink, Emerald Green and all shades of Blue. It's a change from my usual silver, gold, red  variations.

The house is getting a bit of a bird theme at the moment,
I have noticed I have lots of bird tree decorations as well. Without noticing or purposely doing it, I must have collected many bird decorations over the last few years.

Just a drop please...

Whenever we would refill my Nans drinking glass or tea cup she would ask for "just a drop please". Here are some more photos from The Tiny Party. Thank you to Liam for helping to keep the "just a drop" drinks filled!

Gnome and candle holder borrowed from my sister, come to think of it plate was a gift from her. The flowers where cut for me by hubby.

Pink Ruffle Cake for two darling girls.

The most divine looking cake that I have ever seen in real life was this cake made by the lovely Leesa.

Our cosy new TV room...

The final make over.

The Fam enjoying our new room.

Evie in her nursery one last time.

This has all been moved to her new room now.

Before the final touches
This little room off our bedroom has been many things over the years, originally it was a horrid blue and pink nursery with 2 giant giraffes on the walls. 1st we turned it into a junk room, then it had its first makeover into a beautiful Beauty Room for my clients. Installing a sink and painting it pale blue and yellow, which was all the rage, with a sky blue ceiling that my Dad helped me paint, so that as the clients had their treatments they would be looking up to a nice view. A few years later my we repainted it a soft green with all white accessories. After our major reno, when a new Beauty Room was built, the room turned into an office and we painted it a cream colour.

Then when baby # 2 came along it became her beautiful nursery, we painted it white but left the sky ceiling.
It was so nice to have her so close to us for those 1st few years, but she out grew her cot and we really wanted our own space again so we decided to move her to a bigger room and turn the room into what I hope will be its final makeover, into a cosy little TV room for us. We have kept it simply decorated, its a place where anyone can go to chill out for a while. I have borrowed some books and other pretty things to fill the shelves from my sister, just to decorate the room for a while.

I admit, I am an addict....

We love our coffee. Even though I MUST have 1 a day or I get withdrawal symptoms, I still only have a medium half strength, skinny late with 1 sugar. So that can't be too bad. We love our local coffee shop. Its called SWICH ESPRESSO and it's on Logan Rd, Holland Park. The reason we love it is because the service is always friendly, fast and we have never once had a bad coffee. The kids get baby chinos (just warm milk and chocolate powder) and they even remember the kids names!! It's our little treat a few times a week  (the rest of the time we have to slum it by making our own).

A breather by the sea...

On Saturday, the day before we cleaned out the shed, by lunch time we were going stir crazy, so we jumped in the car and went for a short drive. This is where we ended up, at the beach at Thornside. I don't remember ever going there before and it was a really nice afternoon.

Spring Cleaning...

We had a very busy weekend of clearing our shed. We were amazed at the things we had accumulated over the last 15 years. It was fun seeing it all again but we are slowly letting go emotionally of a lot of it. I pretended I was staring on American Pickers, finding some great things, yet the beauty was that it was already in our shed! We cleaned, photographed and listed many items on Ebay. Whatever money we make will go into our Christmas Gifts Fund.  Here a few items that I have listed on Ebay.
