A bit of table scaping to the outdoor table for summer

I just threw together a few things I already owned to make a nice display on my front outdoor table. As soon as I open my front door each morning, it's the first thing I see. It makes a dull area a bit more bright and cheerful.
Both the table and bench seat were kerbside finds and painted white by me.

May flowers

May Bush

The May bush is one of the most spectacular white flowering shrubs you can have in the garden, but it is even more so when used as a hedge. The name can be confusing as it flowers profusely in September and October in the southern hemisphere but flowers in May in the northern hemisphere.
I have always loved these cute little white flowers as they are like a miniature bouquet. There was one at my childhood home, so it always reminds me of Mum. I used to love picking the flowers and turning them into pretty confetti. My daughters middle name is May, after my Grandmother, but I had really also wanted a flower name as a middle name for her, so this was a nice compromise. It flowers in October, Evie's birth month, so it's a good sign. I purchased one about 15 years ago for our first home and it grew into a huge bush and I am thrilled that this house also has a large bush flowering heavily too.

Evie turnes 4 - The cutest puppy dog cake ever

To be quick and easy this year as went overseas soon after Evie's birthday, I ordered this cute chocolate puppy dog cake from Bread Top Bakery. The cake was delicious and the icing was actually fresh chocolate cream. Evie was a very happy!

Easy take home lolly bags as party gifts for Evie's 4th Birthday Party

May flowers and little blue flowers from the garden.

Evie turned 4 ! As we went away on a holiday just afterwards we just had a nice little family party for a birthday cake supper. I of course still have to have the lolly bag for guests to take home (even though most guests are adults). So I just chose 3 flavours of Jelly belly's and set up a mini lolly buffet. It was lots of fun and looked so pretty too.

We used a teaspoon to scoop them into little bags then sealed with a tiny wooden peg.
